מַעֲשֵׂר שֵׁנִי שֶׁנִּכְנַס לִירוּשָׁלַיִם וְנִטְמָא, בֵּין שֶׁנִּטְמָא בְאַב הַטֻּמְאָה, בֵּין שֶׁנִּטְמָא בִּוְלַד הַטֻּמְאָה, בֵּין בִּפְנִים בֵּין בַּחוּץ, בֵּית שַׁמַּאי אוֹמְרִים, יִפָּדֶה וְיֵאָכֵל הַכֹּל בִּפְנִים, חוּץ מִשֶּׁנִּטְמָא בְּאַב הַטֻּמְאָה בַּחוּץ. וּבֵית הִלֵּל אוֹמְרִים, הַכֹּל יִפָּדֶה וְיֵאָכֵל בַּחוּץ, חוּץ מִשֶּׁנִּטְמָא בִּוְלַד הַטֻּמְאָה בִּפְנִים:
Ma'aser Sheni che entrò a Gerusalemme e divenne impuro, sia che diventasse impuro da una Av HaTumah [creatura morta che trasferisce il livello più alto di impurità] o che fosse impuro da una Velad HaTumah [qualcosa che toccava una creatura morta e trasferiva un livello inferiore di impurità], sia all'interno di [Gerusalemme] che all'esterno di [Gerusalemme], Beit Shammai dice che dovrebbe essere redento e dovrebbe essere mangiato interamente all'interno di [Gerusalemme], a meno che non sia diventato impuro da un Av HaTumah fuori da [Gerusalemme]. Beit Hillel dice che tutto dovrebbe essere riscattato e mangiato fuori [Gerusalemme], a meno che non sia diventato impuro da un Velad HaTumah all'interno di [Gerusalemme].
